Fortress in Kašić

The Kašić Fortress is located 5 km northeast of Pirovac and is part of the medieval fortifications on the turbulent border between the Ottoman Empire, the Republic of Venice, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It was built in the 15th century as a defensive stronghold against Ottoman invasions into the Dalmatian hinterland. The viewpoint offers a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside and the sea. The fortress itself and the beautiful landscapes attract nature lovers and hikers, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking active leisure.
