This morning, the hinterland of Pirovac was the center of gathering for olive growers and olive cultivation enthusiasts. A workshop on olive pruning was held at the olive grove of Krešo Uroda's farm, organized by the Olive Growers and Oil Producers Association of Šibenik-Knin County "Ultra Extra." The workshop was led by experts Stjepan Dević and Toni Družijanić from the Zadar Olive Pruning School, who demonstrated proper pruning techniques to ensure optimal yield and long-term tree health.
A large number of olive growers from Pirovac and the surrounding region attended this professional workshop, recognizing its value in improving their skills and knowledge. Participants had the opportunity to see the latest pruning techniques and trends applied to the host’s olive trees, Krešo Uroda’s grove.
In addition to the educational part of the workshop, it was also an opportunity for the exchange of experiences and socializing among olive growers, who received valuable advice and recommendations for maintaining their olive groves. Such initiatives are of great importance for promoting olive growing in the region, as evidenced by the success of Uroda's extra virgin olive oil, which has been winning gold medals at domestic and international competitions for years.
The organizers expressed their satisfaction with the turnout and announced further education and workshops aimed at improving the quality of olive production. Olive growing is an integral part of Dalmatian tradition, and such initiatives ensure its future at the highest level.
See you in the olive grove next time!
