Small Giants Water – A Sustainable Story Connecting People, Nature, and Pirovac

The Small Giants Water project, launched by the Tourist Board of Šibenik-Knin County, was created to highlight the exceptional value of local drinking water and to encourage sustainable habits among both residents and visitors. Through a network of designated refill points, guests can freely fill their bottles, reducing the use of single-use plastic and strengthening awareness of responsible environmental practices. In this way, water becomes not only a resource but also a part of the region’s identity and uniqueness, connecting people with local heritage, quality of life, and natural beauty.

In Pirovac, three establishments have already joined the project: Beach Bar Priša, Caffe Bar Rišpet, and Pizzeria Barezze, becoming recognizable refill stations and demonstrating how local businesses can actively contribute to a positive and sustainable initiative. Their participation helps build a growing network of accessible and convenient locations where visitors can refresh themselves without needing to purchase bottled water.

The Pirovac Tourist Board has also joined the project, further strengthening local involvement. Thanks to this, Pirovac will—especially during the tourist season—serve as a place where tourists and other visitors can freely access drinking water or simply refill their bottles, making it an even more appealing, eco-conscious, and welcoming destination in the heart of Dalmatia.
