New sea temperature probe and live camera installed in Pirovac center

Starting this season, everyone who visits the new website of the Pirovac Tourist Board can see the current air and sea temperatures in Pirovac and the Pirovac Bay in real time on the homepage. This initiative was implemented by the Tourist Board in collaboration with the ŠI Meteo association, which set up a sea temperature measuring probe in the center of the town this summer. The probe sends the measured data to the Šibenik Meteo server every 5 minutes, where it will be publicly available to all users via this website.

It has always been known that the sea temperature in Pirovac Bay is a few degrees warmer than in the surrounding area of the county, which is especially beneficial for tourists in the pre- and post-season who vacation in Pirovac. Now, we know this through daily sea temperature measurements.

Along with the new probe in the center of Pirovac, a new panoramic camera has also been installed, streaming live images to the largest video platform in the world, YouTube. You can follow the live panorama of Pirovac at THIS LINK.
