Olive Branches from Pirovac Delighted Samobor

Last Saturday, in celebration of Palm Sunday, King Tomislav Square in Samobor transformed into a fragrant oasis of the south, where many citizens gathered to receive free olive branches — a symbol of peace, blessing, and tradition.

This warm-hearted event was organized by the Pirovac Municipality Tourist Board in cooperation with the Association of Olive Growers and Oil Producers "Uljanica" from Pirovac, which lovingly brought olive branches from their own groves all the way to the center of Samobor.

Citizens enthusiastically embraced this beautiful initiative — lines formed quickly, smiles lit up visitors’ faces, and the entire square was filled with warmth and positive energy. In addition to the branches, visitors had the opportunity to taste and purchase premium extra virgin olive oil and other authentic products from Pirovac, known for their quality and flavor.

We thank the "Uljanica" association for this wonderful initiative that brought the coast and the inland together, as well as the Samobor Tourist Board for their hospitality and support.

This year, Palm Sunday in Samobor was marked by a special Mediterranean charm — a blend of faith, tradition, and community spirit that will be remembered for a long time.
