Yesterday, a traditional olive picking event took place in the center of Pirovac, drawing participation from numerous members of the local community. Among those involved were employees from the Municipality of Pirovac, the public company Vrilo, as well as staff and students from Pirovac Primary School and the Mendula kindergarten. This event not only nurtures community spirit and connection among residents but also holds significant practical importance, as the harvested olives are immediately processed into olive oil.
The olive oil produced during this initiative serves various needs within the community, including numerous events organized during the summer program "Lito in Pirovac." In this way, local olives become a symbol of collective effort and pride, contributing to the preservation of traditional practices and fostering environmental awareness among younger generations.
The olive picking event not only yields high-quality domestic oil but also brings together all age groups, from the youngest kindergarteners to adult residents, who share their love for nature and tradition.
