The ceremonial award presentation of Zlatna Boula 2025 was held yesterday at the Interpretation Centre of St. James Cathedral Civitas Sacra in Šibenik. The awards are traditionally presented by the Šibenik-Knin County Tourist Board to recognise those who stand out for excellence, long-standing quality, and a significant contribution to the development of tourism in the county.
The awards were presented by Krešimir Šakić, Director of the Šibenik-Knin County Tourist Board, and Paško Rakić, Prefect of Šibenik-Knin County and President of the County Tourist Board, who emphasised the importance of sustainable and responsible tourism development, preservation of local identity, and cooperation among all stakeholders in creating a high-quality tourism offer.
A particular source of pride for Pirovac is the fact that locals from Pirovac won as many as three prestigious awards this year, confirming the quality, hospitality, and strong tourism story of the destination.
The award for Olive Oil Tasting Room of the Year 2025 was presented to OPG Uroda from Pirovac, owned by Krešimir Uroda. His work is rooted in a love for olive growing inherited from his late father. Today, OPG Uroda manages 600 olive trees and produces premium olive oil, awarded multiple gold medals in Croatia and abroad. His oils have won gold awards several times at the prestigious NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition in New York, confirming outstanding quality and dedication to every stage of production. Krešimir Uroda was also a finalist for the Zlata vrijedan award and regularly opens his olive grove to pupils and students from all over Croatia, enthusiastically introducing them to the process of olive cultivation and oil production.
